The Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun state has expressed its gratitude to the sponsor of it annual Student Union football competition, thereby calling for their usual support this year. The Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) has been the institution sponsor in previous years with provision of sports kits, souvenirs and financial aid. The Student Union Sports Director, Comrade Fakorede Yussuf who announced September 22 and October 5 for this year SUG IGI Cup said further that the smooth running of the annual event has been the help of the Insurance Company. IGI has been our sponsor since the inception of the event, they’ve done wonderfully well with provision of sports items. This year event will kick start 22 of this month with assurance that sponsors will come to make it more glamorous. Jidap sport gather that members of the NPL are waiting for the names nominated on Saturday at the NPL congress to resume to the NPL Secretariat in Abuja for inaguration into office to conduct a fresh election into NPL vacant Office. Names nominated are yet to arrive as at 12pm on tuesday, rumour in the press says some names nominated are planing not to honour the assignment. Names Nominated: - Hon.
