The vice-chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee has been appointed into CAF Technical and Development Committee for duration of two years. Fresh was reappointed into CAF Standing Committee for the third term consecutively. The cycle of the Committee would run from 2017 to 2019. Karate Federation Open Championship holds in Abuja

All is now set for  the Karate federation of Nigeria open championship for both male and female categories. A statement issued by the federation and signed by the Secretary general Evelyn Fabunmi said the event billed for the indoor sports hall parkage B of the National stadium in Abuja would hold between 21st to 25th of November 2017. The Kumite female category will involve the 50kg,  61kg and 68kg while that of the Kumite make category will witness the 60kg,  67kg 75kg and 84kg respectively. Meanwhile  the Karate federation of Nigeria ably led by the President and deputy governor of Nasarawa state Hon. Silas Agara has appointed the members of the organizing Committee with a charge on them to organize a befitting championship. The organizing  Committee has chief Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedimma as Chairperson,  Dr B Bello,  Mr Dave Jegede, Hajia Zainab Saleh as members with Evelyn Fabunmi as Secretary.

Executive member of Nigeria Football Federation and also Chairman of Referees appointment committee, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has rated Nigerian football referees highly in the just concluded season. The Niger State FA chairman, who is fondly called Fresh in the football community, made this declaration in an exclusive interview with Sports Chronicle magazine. As he praised the referees for putting in credible and professional shifts in the call of duties this season. "I am delighted with the performances of our referees," he said. "Admittedly, there have been one or two controversies during this season, yet our referees have not done badly. We mustn't forget too, that these referees are human," he quipped. Johannesburg - Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, Nigeria’s renowned and long-standing football administrator has been nominniated in the inaugural Football Africa Awards for the categories of African Football Executive of the Year and African Football Newsmaker of the Year Awards respectively. The Awards, which is part of the first edition of the Football Africa Forum, will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on 30 November - 1 December 2017 and a large delegation of Nigerian football luminaries are expected to attend the gathering. Mr. Fresh's contribution towards the development of football in Nigeria during his lifetime and especially as a serving executive member of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) for six years, has not gone unnoticed, hence his nomination in these two prestigious categories. Fresh commiserates with Inuwa Kano FA boss

Chairman Niger State Football Association, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, has sympathized with Chairman Kano State FA, Alhaji Rabiu Shariff Inuwa over the death of his elder brother (Alhaji Sharu Inuwa Ahlan) who passed on Monday. Fresh who spoke through his SA on media, Aro Olaoluwa says; "I was devastated when I heard the sad news, in fact that news woke me up while answering call of nature." The chairman Referees Appointment Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation prayed for his buddy 'Inuwa' who's also Vice Chairman NFF Referees Appointment Committee, the entire family to have heart to bear the irreparable loss. "Death is inevitable in life thus, on behalf of the Niger FA and stakeholders and indeed football family, we wish to commiserate with Inuwa over the demise of Alh Sharu and we pray that Aljannah Firdausi will be his final abode, and for the family and good people of Kano State to bear the huge Loss," Fresh said painfully.
