GROUP A The Olukoya boys got their first win of the tournament after a 2-1 win over Lobi Stars. Moses Adewale scored the opener in the 13th minute before Alex Agahowa leveled through the spot, after Uwaga hacked down Tayo Fabiyi in the box just before halftime. Austine Ogunye could have sealed the game for Lobi Stars in the 80th minute but his effort on goal went wide. MFM FC took advantage of their attack in the 90th minute, when Mamud Akorede’s shot beat Isa Danladi in goal. Kano Pillars beat stubborn Collins Edwin Sports Club 1-0 with a first half strike from David Ebuka. The Sai-Masugida changed the team that played in the 1-0 win against MFM FC in their opener. The team which was captained by Dennis Victor got the solitary goal in the 19th minute though a solo effort from David Ebuka. FWC Champions FC management will on Wednesday 11th September, 2019 inaugurates Local Organizing Committee for FWC Champions FCT Secondary Schools Football Tournament at the Conference Room of the Family Worship Centre Church office by 3pm. The 8-man Committee which will be headed by Mr. Promise Uwaeme, the club's Executive Director, Business Development, will be given the responsibility of organizing a worthy tournament for all public Senior Secondary Schools across the six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory. 57 Senior Secondary Schools in the FCT will be contesting at the preliminary stage in six zones. Olympic Eagles exciting winger Olabiran Blessing Muyiwa has disclosed that the Imama Amapakabo charges will soar when they face Sudan in tomorrow’s (Thursday) Under 23 African Cup of Nations qualifying match. The Nigerian team will lock horns with the Sudanese on Thursday in the first leg of the final round of U23 AFCON qualifier at the Al Merriekh Stadium in Omdurman. Olympic Eagles forward Stephen Odey has expressed his optimism for success ahead of  Thursday’s Under 23 African Cup of Nations final round qualifying, first leg battle against Sudan at the Al Merriekh Stadium in Omdurman. Odey was named in Coach Imama Amakapabo's 18-man squad that will face the Sudanese and battle for a place in the third edition of Africa's U23 football event scheduled to take place in Egypt later this year.
