2019 Aiteo Cup: LA Planet Sport Academia to play Kwara Football Academy

Newly found Sports Academy, LA Planet Sport Academia will kickstart their 2019 Kwara State Federation Cup campaign against one of the foremost Academy in Ilorin, Kwara Football academy on Wednesday. The Kwara State Aiteo Cup defending Champions, Kwara United have been given a bye in this round, while Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC who were runners-up in the last edition were handed a bye also in this year edition. The draw which was made earlier this week, will see the winner between LA Planet Sport Academia and Kwara Football Academy face the last year winners, Kwara United in the Semifinals. It could be recalled that, LA Planet Sport Academia defeated Kwara Football Academy in their final Group game of the 2019 Kwara State League 3-1 in March and will be looking forward to repeating that feat against them when they face each other on Wednesday, April 17th. Ekofootball beach soccer to hold on Easter Monday

Chairman, Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has hailed organizers of the maiden edition of the Eko football beach soccer invitational tournament.  The annual event which is sponsored by Landmark event center, is billed to kick off on Easter Monday, April 22 at the Landmark beach, Victoria Island, Lagos.  Speaking at the press conference held at same venue, Akinwunmi revealed the five aside tournament will help expose talented players and future stars who are willing to write their name in gold.  "I am glad this tournament is coming up at this stage. I give kudos to the organizers who dim it fit to organize such soccer fiesta. Lagos have been the major soccer city in Nigeria.  "We member of Lagos State Football Association will also tender all possible support and make sure the tournament ends successfully. I am glad to tell you several teams have been showing interest. We are glad football is going higher in the state. 

Electoral Committee fixes LSFA elections for May 27

The Electoral Committee of the Lagos State Football Association has announced May 27 as the new date for election into the association. Making this known to sports journalists today, the Committee’s Chairman, Barrister Segun Babatunde said the election which should have been held earlier was postponed due to the directives from the Nigeria Football Federation postponing all elections into Football Associations across the country. Speaking at the event, Barrister Babatunde said that all is set for elections as they are determined to conduct a free and fair elections that all football stakeholders in Lagos will be proud of. "As you are all aware, we have concluded all the processes of forms collection, screening and publishing of successful candidates. We should have done this elections before now, but had to postpone it because of the directives from the NFF".
