Maxisports Secure 'Ahlan 2017 Preseason' Media Rights

Maxisports Entertainment have secured media rights for the inaugural edition of 'Ahlan' preseason tournament for Nigeria premier league teams. Maxisports reached agreement with Kano State FA chairman, Alhaji Rabiu Sherrif Inuwa 'Ahlan' for the publicity of the tournament tagged 'Ahlan 2017'. 'Ahlan' after the agreement noted that Maxisports are a competent media partner for the preseason tour. He said; "We wanted Maxisports to be incharge of the media and publicity of this preseason tournament because we know they're capable of doing the job." CEO Maxisports Olaoluwa Aro also gave assurances of his company, Saying, his team are happy to be associated with Kano State FA and the 'Ahlan 2017 Preseason Tour'.

ACCESS BANK LAGOS CITY MARATHON: Gold and Silver Label runners to sign autograph at Marathon Expo

The 2018 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon will not just be about educating citizens about wellness and healthy living, there will also be lecture, seminar, entertainment and opportunity to interact with world-class marathoners. The world-class marathoners will be at the Expo to pick up their race kits, which includes a running bib, timing tag, t-shirt, bag and other materials. Already many gold and silver label marathoners have signed for the 2018 marathon and they have expressed their willingness to be part of the Expo to sign autographs for their fans and chat about marathon and road race running with marathon aficionados. Top on the list of IAAF gold label runners that have signed for the 2018 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is Matebo Levy with personal best of 2.05.16. RECAP: Winners emerge at LBA end-of-season ceremony

The League Bloggers Awards (LBA) end-of-season ceremony, on Tuesday, produced winners in 13 categories that covered the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the Nigeria National League (NNL) and the Nigeria Women's Premier League (NWPL). Ten players, one club and one coach were named winners in the different categories during the award night at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos though one of the categories - the NPFL Highest Goalscorer award - had long been decided. Last season's top scorer in the NPFL, Anthony Okpotu of Lobi Stars with 19 goals, added the LBA Player of the Season to the Highest Goalscorer award to cap an eventful night. Plateau United winger Peter Eneji was named Best New Player in the NPFL ahead of four other shortlists - Chinedu Udechukwu of Katsina United, Destiny Ashadi of Katsina United, Oche Salefu of Remo Stars and Wasiu Alalade of ABS FC. FIFA World Cup draw: Farouk Yarma departs for Russia

Gombe State Commissioner for Youth Empowerment Malam Farouk Yarma will depart for Russia tonight (Tuesday)  for the 2018 FIFA World Cup draw in Russia. The FC Yarmalight President has been invited by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to join the Nigerian delegation to Moscow for the final draw. “The NFF has honoured me with invitation to be part of the delegation to Russia for the World Cup draw. I am delighted with the honour and I hope our dear Super Eagles will have a favourable draw,” said Yarma. The draw will hold at  Moscow’s State Kremlin Palace  on December 1 st  (Friday) to be hosted by former England striker Gary Lineker.  Yarma added; "My friends from Soccerex and World Football forum will be in Russia for the draw.  I will use the opportunity to network with friends and see how we can relate the relationship to develop Gombe State and FC Yarmalight."

NFF launches short code to drive Russia 2018 campaigns

The Nigeria Football Federation on Monday in Lagos launched a short code - *1945# - which will be used for all campaigns that are geared towards Nigeria’s preparation and participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia. The event was organized in conjunction with Secure and Trusted Alliance Services Limited – STA Mobile. NFF 2 nd   Vice President/LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko, who is also Chairman of Marketing, Sponsorship and Television Advisory Committee, disclosed that the short code would be available for use by all NFF partners, sponsors and suppliers, in the process also revealing an ‘Official Supporter’ program into which corporate concerns not presently in relationship with the NFF can lodge to be part of Nigeria’s 2018 FIFA World Cup excitement train. Benue State bid to host 2018 GoldCup Pre-Season Tourney

Benue State Government has declared it's interest to host the 2018 edition of the Gold Cup Pre-Season Tourney. The iconic Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi is expected to host matches of the Nigeria's most prestigious domestic club event, the Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament. Kano Pillars beat Lobi Stars 1-0 in the final of the 5th edition of the Gold Cup Preseason Tournament to claim their second Gold Cup trophy in three years courtesy of a 33rd minute strike from Rabiu Ali.  The interesting game produced some breathtaking moment for both teams avid fans in Ilorin. Kano Pillars created the first chance of the game after four minutes of play when Nyima Nwagua failed to connect Ifeanyi Nweke's well delivered cross.   Nwagua had another opportunity to score the first goal of the pulsating encounter after receiving a pass from Nzube Anaezemba but his shot went inches wide.     Former Sunshine Stars forward, Dele Olorundare has declared he would soon be back on the pitch and scoring goals after finally finding a lasting solution to his persistent injury.     Olorundare, who once led Sunshine Stars to third place in the NPFL and led the line as Sunshine Stars played on the continent for the first time has battled consistent knee problems for the past two years and his career has stalled as a result of the injury.   Olorundare is arguably Sunshine Stars record scorer with 42 goals from 69 appearances. The CAF Technical and Development Committee Member and other eight State FA Chairmen promised to support the hardworking journalist who needed Five million naira for hip replacement and Osteomyelitis surgery at the 2017 Ogunjobi Golden Cup final in Osun State. “I have received Mr Fresh donation of Two hundred thousands naira.
