SWAN Selected to unveil new kits against Delta All-Stars

SWAN Selected side will this weekend unveil the new 2019 kits that comprise of Home and away jerseys with travel wear as well, which is a product of their new partnership with leading Nigerian sportswear firm Owu Sports Kits. The team home strip will be worn in the first half while the away strip will be worn in the second half. The home kit is an all blue assemble with pattern lacing that gives a good feel with a high level of aesthetics. It depicts the unwavering unity of the national selected side. The away kit is an all white with a blue line across the chest that signifies the length and breath that members of the squad come from. A design that screams tolerance and accommodating spirit. The profile of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria football team, SWAN Selected, has continued to rise as they signed a year deal with kits manufacturers Owu Sportswear. The sports writers’ body formed the team in 2017 and SWAN Selected have played three matches. The side’s morale has now been boosted with the new deal with Owu ahead of their fourth outing slated to take place against Delta All Stars on Saturday in Asaba. The team played their first game against Kano SWAN in December 2017, a game won by the home team before defeating Akwa Ibom SWAN 3-1 while also playing a 1-1 draw with Delta SWAN in 2018. Speaking about the partnership, the Team Administrator, Alloy Chukwuemeka, said it showed how the team had grown over the two years. “It has become an entity and we are getting stronger each day,” he said. “We want to appreciate Owu Sportswear for believing in the group. SWAN Selected: Yema invites 30 players for Delta All Stars

Swan selected head coach Olanrewaju Yema has called up a 30-man squad in readiness for the March 23rd encounter against a Delta State All Stars selection. The Magate FC coach has called up veteran defender China 'Baresi' Acheru, Michael Chukwuebuka, Victor Modo and Tobi 'Oga Nla' Adepoju for this all-important encounter. There is also a return for renowned Pidgin Commentator cum enigmatic forward Benjamin Sawadinho who missed the last game in Asaba against Delta Swan while usual suspects Fisayo Dairo, Damiete Sanipe, Shogo Shodunke, Charles Diya and Owolabi Aleshinloye are also in the mix.
