NPL shifts week 30matches
The Nigeria Premier
League has shifted week
30 matches originally
scheduled to be played
this Wednesday.
According to the acting
Executive Secretary of
the league body, Tunji
Babalola, the decision to
shift the matches is
because the ;eague
organising body want all
clubs to play all the
rescheduled games so as
not to give any team an
undue advantage.
“We have taken the
decision because we
don’t want any team in
the
Premier League to have
this advantage of
determining what
happens to
others team because
they are yet to complete
their matches like others
clubs.
“It will give them an
advantage that is not
good for the league. So
instead of playing the
week 30 games, majority
of the outstanding
games will be played.
The matches that will
take place this
Wednesday include the
Owerri tie
between Heartland and
JUTH of Jos. Dolphins of
Port-Harcourt will host
Kaduna United, while
Sunshine Stars will travel
to Gombe to fight for
points against Gombe
United.
The week 30 games will
now be played this
weekend.
