Ekofootball beach soccer to hold on Easter Monday



Chairman, Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has hailed organizers of the maiden edition of the Eko football beach soccer invitational tournament. 

The annual event which is sponsored by Landmark event center, is billed to kick off on Easter Monday, April 22 at the Landmark beach, Victoria Island, Lagos. 

Speaking at the press conference held at same venue, Akinwunmi revealed the five aside tournament will help expose talented players and future stars who are willing to write their name in gold. 

"I am glad this tournament is coming up at this stage. I give kudos to the organizers who dim it fit to organize such soccer fiesta. Lagos have been the major soccer city in Nigeria. 

"We member of Lagos State Football Association will also tender all possible support and make sure the tournament ends successfully. I am glad to tell you several teams have been showing interest. We are glad football is going higher in the state. 

"In other words. It will be fun having this done on Easter Monday. The environment and weather will be friendly for a good football display. I applaud the organizers and I urge them to keep it up. It will surely help the state of our football," he stated. 

In a similar vein, Mr Ephraim Faloughi, member, management team, Landmark event center, also revealed all hands are on deck to make the Eight team soccer tournament a successful one. 

"We the organizers are glad to tell you all hands are on deck to make sure the players and fans lack nothing. The pitch and the spectators stands are in good shape. We can't wait for the tournament to kick off. 

"Easter Monday will be fun. Landmark event center is a very busy place. We urge parents to bring their kids, soccer fans should also come and witnessed the best of soccer. As it is, I can say we are good to go," he assured.
