AFRIPRO SCOUTING TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF IN LAGOS

AfriPro, a digital platform company that promotes and gives visibility for players aspiring to play in Europe has began the hunt for the next footballing star in Nigeria with a scouting tournament in Lagos.
The tournament which offers unprecedented rewards to participants and spectators is being monitored by European scouts and Nigeria national team coaches.
According to the CEO of Afripro, John Samuel the tournament which get underway on Monday at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere runs till July 22nd with a place in the planned draft team to Europe and scholarship to study in Finalnd up for grab for the participatants.
John Samuel stated: _"we are launching the Afripro app with this tourney for both teams and individual players. This tournament is different because everyone wins, including the spectators who all stand a chance to win cash prizes and other gift items at the end of the tournament._
He explained when you participate in the tournament you get discount offer at N6000 with one year access on Afripro platform to create your profile, upload your videos, YouTube link and Transfermarket link.
_"During the tournament, we shall watch all games and select the best 36 players in all positions. These 36 players will be playing in July 20th and July 22nd when the scouts and national team coaches and other top dignitaries are on ground. If you are selected by the scout, you stand the chance of going on trials in Europe_ He also noted.
The participating teams are Dino Sports Club, Starbase FC, Midas FC, Paddysco Sports, Kingspor FC, Headliners FC, FC Bethel and FC United, a draft team of individually registered players.
John added: _If you don't get selected by the scouts or coaches, AfriPro will be selecting the best final 10 - 18 players who will represent AfriPro in tournaments in Europe Between January - March 2023 with all expenses paid. Tourney offers scouting opportunities for selected to Europe with all expenses paid and best player of the tournament gets scholarship to study in Finland for FREE and play football._
He also revealed that the tournament will get to other parts of Africa in due course.
The tournament got off today with Dino FC defeating Starsbase 2-1 while FC United edged 1-0 Midas in the first games of preliminaries which end on Friday, while the finals for selected 36 players runs from 21st to 23rd of same month. Matches start 11am daily.
