NFF Exco Members, Galadima, Grace Ahlan Cup 2017 Opening Ceremony



Opening ceremony of the inaugural Sharif Rabi'u Inuwa preseason tournament tagged Ahlan Cup 2017 was lit with the presence of the crème de la crème in Northern Nigeria football administration.

The Ahlan Cup 2017 match day 1 delivered amazing football to the admiration of the fans, with 14 goals scored from the three games played on the opening day. Kwara United and Plateau United played the first as early as 8:am Nigerian time, while El-Kanemi Warriors put Kano Selected IX to sword in the second game.

The last match of the day marked the formal opening of the Ahlan Cup 2017 which wasn't witnessed by a mammoth crowd. Former NFA Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima was present, as well Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, Mohammed Alkali and Babagan Kali, all of whom are executive board members of the Nigeria football federation.

Host Chairman Sharif Rabi'u Inuwa 'Ahlan' was filled with joy unspeakable as Kano football crowd evidently approved the preseason tournament idea.

Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima urged the Kano State Football Association not to relent in its gaint strides, tipping them for greater things.

Ahmed Yusuf Fresh led the NFF crew  performed the opening formalities of the Ahlan Cup 2017. With the number of goals scored on the opening day, Kano fans are rest assured of even brighter days in the Ahlan Cup 2017.

FOR THE RECORDS RE: NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION (NFF) DENIES ALLEGED CHARGES BY FG

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) notes that it has been inundated with enquiries about charges allegedly filed against its leadership (Amaju Melvin Pinnick, Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, Ahmed Fresh and Mohammed Sanusi) by the Federal Government of Nigeria. NFF denies that FG has filed any such charges. NFF states that the orchestrated media blitz about the existence of such charges is nothing but the desperate and malicious efforts of the Chief Okoi Obono-Obla led Special Presidential Investigative Panel (SPIP) to lend itself as an instrument of cheap blackmail in the fight for the political leadership of NFF.
