NLO Chairman Alkali reaffirms players assurance through Standard Alliance organisation

Independent Chairman of Nigeria National League (NLO) Alhaji Mohammed Alkali has reaffirmed the continuous supports for players insurance through the reputable insurance organisation Standard Alliance Insurance PLC.
The headship of the league gave this assurance in Maiduguri, Borno State on Thursday where he led Standard Alliance insurance organisation to fulfilled one of their contractual obligations arising from Abkama Football Club mishap enroute Gombe State to honour an NLO game.
"We are here to show empathy and also activate our contractual agreements with the partners of our league in terms of players insurance.
"NLO and Standard Assurance have resolved to pacify the family of the deceased player with the sum of Five Hundred Thousands Naira (N500,000) whose life was cut short as a result of car crash on their way to honour a league game in Gombe State.
"Similarly, the other affected beings on that trip like the coach and two injured players would get Fifty Thousands Naira (N50,000) each as these cash benefits were popped up from the agreements with Standard Alliance Insurance PLC," Alkali stated.
Mohammed Alkali, an NFF Executive Member cum Nasarawa State FA Chairman used the opportunity to reassure the commitments of NLO League Body towards the clubs under his jurisdiction as he reemphasized players protection in all areas.
"These presentations are done for the clubs to have enough confidence in the League Body and Standard Alliance Insurance PLC, although these should have been done earlier than this but its better done than never.
"We want to state clearly that the League is accompanied with many unseen responsibilities and we shall continue to give endless supports to the major gladiators, the clubs and players in consonants with our relationship with Standard Alliance Insurance PLC," Alkali submitted.
The car accident happened in July 2017 when the team was travelling from Maiduguri to honour a league match in Gombe State.
The NLO delegation were warmly received by NFF Executive Member and Borno FA Chairman Alhaji Babaghana Kahlid, the NFF Match Commissioner Appointment Committee also had the State FA Board members in attendance.
