NFF Retreat 2017: The Ifeanyi Ubah Factor





The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Retreat which was held at the Ta'al Conference Hotel, Lafia, Nassarawa State, had in attendance all the major Football Stakeholders and Administrators in Nigeria.

The event which was chaired by the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick was declared open by the Governor of Nassarawa State, His Excellency, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura ably represented by his Deputy, H.E. Silas Agara as he discussed the common goals and strategies needed to move the Nigeria Football sector forward.

While administrators and stakeholders resolved to contribute immensely to the innovative strategies being put forward by the NFF aimed at positioning the football sector at the forefront of the drive for a better and stronger economy,
Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the President of FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Chairman, Anambra State FA preached on the need for a football-driven economy which would be an enabling factor for Human Capital Development as well as a unifier in our nation.

Dr. Ubah, while maintaining that both the NFF and LMC have done marvellously well, called on all major stakeholders in the sector to unite, support and key into the administration of Football Federation led by Amaju Pinnick and League Management Company led by Shehu Dikko.

On Russia 2018, Dr Ubah who had earlier congratulated the Super Eagles for their qualification to participate in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, noted that Nigeria possess a very good team that can compete and excel at the World stage.

However, he harped on the need to remain united and work together as a family if we are to maximize our potential and reach our goal.

The Football Federation is expected to convene at Crest Hotel, Jos, Plateau State on Thursday, 19th October, 2017 for the Annual General Meeting of the Football Body.
