Press Conference: Salisu, Vasiljevic speaks ahead of today's game

Salisu Yusuf (Head Coach, Nigeria)

In football, you have to be suspicious on the pitch, especially at the knockout stage. You have to be careful on the field and that's what I have asked my players. We will play to win. Our goal remains the same, to go farthest in the competition. It will not be easy for us against a tricky Angola team. They are a team that generally adopts a defensive strategy and operates on the counter attacks. They have a very solid defence. There is some pressure on us because the ministry and even the federation want a positive result from us. There is also the expectation of Nigerians and the players are aware. After our first match against Rwanda, we worked a lot. It allowed us to qualify to the quarterfinals by topping our group and stay in Tangiers, a city we have acclimatized well.

Srdjan Vasiljevic (Head Coach, Angola)

The quarterfinal will be very difficult because we will face one of the best teams of this tournament. Nigeria proved itself during the first round. They achieved great benefits. Our players are very tired because we arrived very late here in Tangiers. Our stopover in Casablanca lasted longer than expected. We will handle this situation. It's very difficult to get into a quarter-final in such a situation. The players are very motivated to qualify to the semis. They are all focused on the game. We have watched Nigeria and found the strengths and weaknesses. We will put in place a strategy to counter them.
