2019 African Games: Flying Eagles forward Emeka Chinonso promise more goals
After scoring the important equalizer that took Nigeria to the semifinal of the 2019 African Games in Rabat against the host country Morocco last week, Flying Eagles forward Emeka Chinonso has promised more goals that will help his team finish with the Gold medal in the African Games.
Chinonso who made his debut against South Africa on Matchday Two, scored his first international goal in his second appearance against Morocco has proven to be a quality addition in Paul Aigbogun team.
Day after day, match after match, the tall lanky forward proves why he was among the top rated young stars before the African Games.
Nigeria will battle Mali in today's semifinal fixture, Chinonso is optimistic his goals will lift the team again. The game will kickoff 1pm Nigeria time.
"We have been working hard since after the Morocco game, we have to put aside the success achieved in the group stage and focus on today's game which is the most important game for us in Morocco. The game will determine our progress to the final and give us a closer opportunity to our dreams, winning the Gold medal for Nigeria.
"I have been concentrating on my scoring abilities and I have to continue to score goals that will help my team emerge champions and finish with the Gold medal, I am optimistic with great team work, my goals will lift the team to the final," said Chinonso.
