~ SWAN SELECTED MATCH DAY 4 ~ • "Working the talk" ~ Andrew Randa

As Sports writers gather in the usual manner for the purpose of reportage of national team action, a group of them decided to add a little flare to the  job. They say "all work and no play" makes Jack a dull boy.

From Kano to Uyo and a second stoppage this weekend in Asaba , SWAN SELECTED continues the "working the talk" journey as a body.

Andrew Randa, Captain of SWAN SELECTED FOOTBALL TEAM THROWS MORE LIGHT thus:

"SWAN SELECTED have really come a long way since our first game in Kano during the Super 6 tournament in Kano in 2017. We lost that game 1-0. We didn't deserve to lose. Then the big one in Uyo where we played Akwaibom sports Arena (AKSA) during the nation's cup qualifiers against Libya in 2018. The third one in Asaba during the federation's cup final where Rangers won".

"It's been an ongoing process. Very good too. We've got a lot of persons who have come on board to support what we do. We've got a kit sponsor with Owu sports,a few organisations like Corporate PH6 Ltd have also come on board. They've been fantastic".

He further stated that the team is open to sponsorship and partnership.

"Anyone interested in partnering with SWAN SELECTED can come through to us for discussion. This is our way of getting people to gather and put our heads together. Football gives that leverage".

On his leadership role in the team, the graphics maestro expressed his willingness at every point to lead the team.

"I'm really happy to be the captain of this team and I look forward to leading them out against Delta All Stars on Saturday. If you're in and around Asaba, please come through and watch good football. We don't only talk it. We also do it on the field of play", he added.

This weekend's game is the fourth for SWAN SELECTED and the very first in 2019, having lost to Kano SWAN 1-0 in 2017,recorded a 3-1 victory in Uyo against AKSA and a 1-1 draw against Delta SWAN in Asaba last year.
